First Photograph

Further to a previous posting on photography, I thought you might appreciate this.
Believed to be the World's earliest surviving photograph, it was taken in 1826 (A year after the invention of the locomotive), and took eight hours to take.

It took 8 years. Bit like a modern train journey in that respect.

First attemt ever to take a photograph was by Thomas Wedgwood, son of famous British potter.

The picture you posted was taken by Nicephore Niepse from his window at Le Gras in 1927. I didn't know that it took 8 hours of exposure.

Didn't know Wedgewood made the first attempt.
