At last, the official announcement on who is playing the latest Bond villain has been made.
It's Danish actor, Mads Mikkelsen, although I must say that picking a Danish actor is a bit brave at the moment. It also gives rise to one or two bad taste jokes, but given my total contempt for those hardline extremists who attack Judaism and Israel's right to exist as part of their reportoire, I don't think it's appropriate to make them.
That said, I do think that his stubble reminds me of a particular Parliamentary Research assistant, and no doubt, many Lib Dems regard him as a Bond villain in itself ;)

If anyone wants to offer me a part in the new Bond movie then I'll happily accept. I live about 15 mins from the studios where they film it. :-)
And at 25p I bet I'm much cheaper than that Danish guy! ;-)
lol!
Lol.
So what are your views on Israel and Judaism then? I've been thinking about that recently.
Hmm. Bit of a loaded question.
Okay, but in short, as I want to go to bed soon.
I am pro Israeli, hold the Jewish faith with awe and respect, and I think they have a right to a homeland, but that comes with ethical responsibility and that means the fomral recognition of a Palestinian state alongside them. I strongly disgaree with the settlements and feel that Palestinians are badly treated, at the same time I strongly deplore (and there is absolutely no excuse, in spite of what some say), the acts of suicide bombers in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. I also am not too comfortable with the Palestinians having a claim on Jerusalem, but I don't altogether see the problem there is insurmountable.
I also believe that many Christian Palestinians suffering is woefully unrecognised by many US citizens on the 'religious right' who don't recognise Palestinians right to exist, and I think that is disgraceful, disgusting, and unbiblical.
That good enough :)
One of the films I want to see right now is Munich, and that raises moral questions in my mind. On one hand I strongly deplore state sponsored execution squads etc.. for obvious ethical reasons and I certainly do so in this case as well. But considering the background in this case, I can empathise with their anger
