Drop the Dead Donkey
Amazing isn't it! The BBC Website made the Indonesian Earthquake their top story yesterday, moving aside most others with big bold headlines, and today it's a small left-hand corner piece with the small headline that the UN are saying that it is a move against time! I know we can all have compassion fatigue and that we are a shallow nation that prefers to look at celebrities private lives through a telephoto lens, but please!

It's infuriating isn't it that every news item is now a one (if it's foreign) or a few (if Brits are involved) days wonder. As I mused on my blog site a day or so back, whatever happened to Bird Flu?
I know. I think 24 hr news has something to do with it! :/
