Admittedly I am proud to be British. I am one of those saddos who feels pride everytime I see a Hollywood film, where the frame shot which has LONDON written across the screen has a red bus and a couple of black cabs going over Westminster Bridge, just past Big Ben.
But it would have been nice if it was Canada (where I have some cousins) or Norway, or Belgium.

I think I'll stick with the USA, Paul. I remember back in 1978, working as a security guard in a New Jersey shopping Mall. I kept watch over a display of Waterford china and two Irish girls from the company explained to customers how they crafted china flowers. I asked them about Ireland and one of them said I should be glad to live in America because of it's huge size. There is so much more to see here than in most European nations. I had to aggree with her.
