I met Richard E. Grant a week ago when he signed my copy of The Wah Wah Diaries at the Cape Town Book Fair. Very amiable guy – proud of the fact that he graduated at the same university I’m studying at.
No, I am studying in Cape Town - I think I told you before in a comment about beggars knocking at my door the whole time. I remember writing that comment, because as I was writing it, a beggar really knocked on my door!
I am envious of you! I would love to meet Mr Grant and say well done to him, oh yes, and to get him to sign my copy of the book. BTW: Have you read it yet? Do let us know what you thought of it. I have now seen the film and thought it very enjoyable.

No, I haven't read it yet - too many unread books on my bookrack means it would probably be a month before I read it. The movie is being shown here in two weeks' time. Delighted to see Gabriel Byrne in it - I remember seeing him in that 1980s movie Defence of the Realm .

I'm finishing work early tomorrow to see the film. Can't wait. Unless I stay too long in the pub afterwards, expect a review!
Looking forward to it!

Yes, I just thought that was something from your past.
Explains why I get a lot of feeds from Tracksy in that part of the World!
