I'm finishing work early tomorrow to see the film. Can't wait. Unless I stay too long in the pub afterwards, expect a review!
Looking forward to it!
I met Richard E. Grant a week ago when he signed my copy of The Wah Wah Diaries at the Cape Town Book Fair. Very amiable guy – proud of the fact that he graduated at the same university I’m studying at.
Small world! So are you not in the UK then manic?
So are you not in the UK then manic? No, I am studying in Cape Town - I think I told you before in a comment about beggars knocking at my door the whole time. I remember writing that comment, because as I was writing it, a beggar really knocked on my door!
Yes, I just thought that was something from your past.Explains why I get a lot of feeds from Tracksy in that part of the World!
Manic,I am envious of you! I would love to meet Mr Grant and say well done to him, oh yes, and to get him to sign my copy of the book. BTW: Have you read it yet? Do let us know what you thought of it. I have now seen the film and thought it very enjoyable.D.
BTW: Have you read it yet? Do let us know what you thought of it. No, I haven't read it yet - too many unread books on my bookrack means it would probably be a month before I read it. The movie is being shown here in two weeks' time. Delighted to see Gabriel Byrne in it - I remember seeing him in that 1980s movie Defence of the Realm .
I think that kid from About a Boy is in it as well!
