It would be easy for me to go in for that sport of Tory bashing this morning, as this comfirms the suspicions many non-Conservatives have about some groups of people within the Party. In this case I just hope it was the usual stupidity and crass insensitivity that you get with some of them. Although that in itslef breeds ignorance, which can breed prejudice, which can breed...
So it was a breath of fresh air that news came through that Cameron instantly sacked Patrick Mercer, although it is interesting, and indeed a pity, that few Conservative bloggers have mentioned it.
