True, but just look at Nick Robinson's blog, over half of the people there said they WOULD vote for him. And of course the more negative thoughs as ever, are more likely to be written down which means over 50% is probably an underestimate.
And do not foget - politics is increasingly personality based, especially more independent roles such as the London Mayor.

What better for a big bumbling city than to have a big bumbling mayor. I'm all for it.

Can he win! People love him for his personality but that is different to wanting him to be Mayor!

As I said elsewhere, Britain is bereft of political leadership at this time. Cameron is not right. It's the wrong time to be bereft of it too.
The fact he is MP for Henley (i.e. a constituency outside London) does still count against Johnson
Better than being in London but not know by any londoners like all the other candidates!!
