The Blair Years

Is it just me or did you feel that last nights documentary was a tad disloyal to the Prime Minister! Not so much from Tony Blair, but from some of Blair's former cabinet ministers

Say what you like but I feel the Labour party commited regicide by getting rid of him how they did

You have to wonder what the game plan is here - and there always is one.

Is Blair trying to ensure he shapes how events are interpreted ? Or is this to remind people that Gordon isn't really up to it, and needs replacing ?

The more of this sort of thing we see in the media the more I'm inclined to the second interpretation.

Mind you I don't see how Gordon could ever complain about disloyalty with a straight face.

Well Blair wasn't pushed so much as pressed by some to give a timetable for his departure. True a couple of MP's (not well thought of by many), did try and press for a resignation, but they never got a ministerial post and they don't have one now.
As for Brownites being disloyal, it wasn't so much that as trying to be guarded out of the feeling that if eyes weren't wide open there would be some marginalisation and streamlining going on
