Black Only Schools Equals Segregation
I don't know exactly how much thought Lee Jasper has been giving to this, but Rupa is right. The likes of Martin Luther King and Nelson Mandela have spent their lives fighting against this. Such moves are counter-productive, would only turn back the clock and give false comfort to those who have racist tendencies

Absolutely - what 'special requirements' do blacks have over and above anyone else?!
Only to be treated equally
For once we agree, but what 'special requirements' do Christians, Muslims etc need and why are failth schools not seen as dangerous succour to the separatists and socially divisive? Surely if you support faith schools then you cannot deny Lee Jasper's warped logic either?
Perhaps because the fact that someone holding a faith or edging towards having a faith is different from the colour of someones skin. I see your point though!
This is a terrible idea. So is the idea of faith schools. Both notions ought to be rejected out of hand. And while we're at it, ethnic-only and woman-only candidate lists are a terrible idea too, for just the same reasons.
We have already gone too far towards the deeply destructive American idea that black people are a separate "community". Please let us pull back from that to fight for a truly egalitarian society.
