Welsh Referendum
I agree with Peter Hain, the Referendum being held this March is not a good idea. Ideally it should be held after the AV Referendum, possibly Spring next year. It just goes to show that time and place matter as much as aspirations and that Plaid Crymu may well have shot themselves in the foot here.

Strictly speaking, the referendum is a matter for the people of Wales, but you're entitled to your view, of course.
The problem I foresee is that the Apathy Party (Plaid Apathi) might win. Few people I've spoken to here in north Wales have any view at all on the matter. It would be a disaster if the outcome were 'Yes' 12% of the electorate, with 'No' getting 11%.
I'd like to point out that all four parties in the Assembly voted to ahead with the referendum on this date.
Peter Hain is against it because it will be the end of the LCO system introduced by... Peter Hain.
