Thought for the Day CML

1 Chronicles Ch 17 Vs 1-15 tells of King David wanting to build a House for the Ark of the Covenant. It feels wrong to him that is in a tent while he is in a house made of cedar wood. That night, Nathan the Prophet has a dream where God tells him that David should accept his blessings and that the House, the Temple, will be built by his son, whom he will be with and will not abandon like he abandoned Saul. This seems to prophesy Solomon's abandonment of God towards the end of his life, but here it seems to state that he returns to God at the very end. The whole passage tells us two things. We may abandon God but God does not  abandon us (we know that when we feel that desire to return to God), and that we should accept God's blessings
