Thought for the Day CMLXXIX

2 Chronicles Ch 2 tells of King Solomon sending a message to the King of Tyre, informing him that he (King Solomon) was building a Temple in honour of God. Solomon asks for cedar logs and other luxuries for the Temple and the King of Tyre replies being happy to supply what is needed. Solomon also promises wheat, barley, wine, and olive oil to the workmen who the King of Tyre will bring, as a thankyou present.
In order to achieve what he did in dedicating the Temple, Solomon had to rely on the help of his neighbours and he was ready to thank them. In any leadership, whoever is leader, if they are to succeed, has to rely on others and to thank them when necessary. Kindness, graciousness, and not being afraid of ones vulnerabilities is vital in leadership
