An interesting and faintly amusing analogy. On one hand I am glad David Davis understands how Brexit is seen by Remainers, and that he wants to reach out. On the other it will not do to say those fears are baseless. One need to look at the growing struggles the UK had from the 1950s as it gradually lost it's empire, and how the EU protected British citizens from the worst excesses of Thatcherism. David Davis needs to explain how the peace process in Northern Ireland will continue, how the welfare date will not end up dismantled, how workers rights will be protected, how the growing cost of living will shrink, how to deal with the fact that a no of companies are planning relocation to other EU countries once Brexit takes place, before being listened to.
