Calls for Italian President's Impeachment

This would be a labyrinth of a situation for any President of a country where he or she is Head of State but not Head of Government. To call for his impeachment may make headlines and create fuss, but it is also deeply unfair. From an observer's perspective, Sergio Mattarella has been trying to do his constitutional duty to see a government formed and Italy prosper. If it is his constitutional right to veto, which it looks like it is, then however frustrating political leaders may find it, they need to respect that result, and allowing a government formed of two populist Alt-Right Parties must be deeply problematic to put it politely. The wiseest move may be to go back to voters and say that under the circumstances a government cannot be formed, could they please put forward a better combination!
