Corbyn's Party Reform Proposals Parked

Rather relieved if nothing else. This would have further split the Labour Party which feels like it is constantly on the verge of a large rupture. We need confidence in the Parliamentary Labour Party and we need confidence in the processes of leadership. This would have shut out moderate elements and would have possibly led to a scorched Earth situation. It feels at the moment like Labour is a car being driven towards a cliff and the brakes being slammed on at the last moment. With regards to my own position, I am still treating my membership on a day to day basis, but it does feel that at grassroots and national level, a tide is slowly starting to turn, like a large ship turning 360 degrees.

The reform on the powers of an interim leader made sense.
