Thought for the Day MDCCLX
1 Samuel Ch 17 tells of the confrontation between David and Goliath and David killing Goliath, first with a stone aimed from a sling, and then cutting Goliath's head off. It is a well known Bible story because it is about a battle against the odds. The young David overcoming the mighty and terrifying Goliath and not by the means Goliath expects, i.e. straightforward combat
But David depends on God, he mentions his disgust towards Goliath for insulting God's representatives. Who do we depend on in our battles and what are we up against, and what measures do we use in dealing with that?
